The Department of Construction Management aims to build world-class disciplines and conducts innovative research on the basic theory and key technologies of urban and infrastructure construction and management. At present, it has four major disciplines including "sustainable development", "urbanization research", "safety and health", "digital technology", which encourages teachers and students to carry out interdisciplinary research. Currently, the number of published and cited papers in SSCI / SCI journals and the number of projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China have stood out. A group of teachers have held leading positions in international organizations. And some teachers have served as deputy chief editors or editorial boards of famous international journals. Others have given keynote speech at the international meeting. The international influence is growing. A number of professors hold the position as the director, deputy director and members of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and other relevant departments of the central government expert committee, or hold the leading position of the relevant industry associations and professional society. Their many policies and recommendations in housing policy, production safety, green construction have been adopted. It’s the first in China to carry out the housing system re, land use system re, the real estate market development, real estate investment and finance and other related research; take the lead in infrastructure / utilities franchise project financing research and promotion; take the lead in the construction industry safety and health problems research, and in cooperation with the government and enterprises to promote the construction of safety culture; the first to carry out environmental impact studies of construction activities, presided over the compiling of the industry standards. It has made an important contribution to improve China's construction and the public governance of real estate areas.
