CITI University of Mongolia Holds Exchange Symposium with Tsinghua University's School of Civil Engineering

On October 31st, 2023, a delegation from CITI University of Mongolia, visited Tsinghua University’s Department of Construction Management within the School of Civil Engineering. The delegation included President Цэмбэлийн Байгалмаа (Baigalmaa Tsembel), Vice President цэвэр хөндий (Qing Gu), an alumna of Tsinghua University's Department of Construction Management, and Director of the School of Arts Мэн, Туяа (Maine, Tuya). Discussions focused on future bilateral cooperation in construction management. Professor Li Xiaodong, Director of the Department of Construction Management, and Associate Professor Liao Binchao, responsible for the International Construction and Project Management (ICPM) program, attended the symposium.

Qing Gu expressed CITI University’s interest in establishing a construction management program and collaborating with Tsinghua University to develop internationally recognized courses. He aimed to learn from Tsinghua University’s experience in ICPM and Master of Engineering Management (MEM) program enrollment and teaching to implement similar programs of CITI University.

The Department of Construction Management at Tsinghua University holds accreditation from the Project Management Institute-Global Accreditation Center (PMI-GAC), for five programs, including Bachelor of Engineering in Civil, Hydraulic, and Ocean Engineering, Master of Management Science and Engineering, MEM, ICPM, and Doctor of Management Science and Engineering. Qing Gu emphasized that this accreditation will bolster future cooperation between the two universities.

This symposium signifies a pivotal step in the collaboration between Tsinghua University and CITI University of Mongolia in construction management. Both parties anticipate that through academic exchanges, discussions, and project collaborations, they can enhance cross-cultural understanding and deepen cooperation, fostering new opportunities in academic and scientific research at both universities.
